Kooyman Aruba, formerly Antil N.V., is the subsidiary of Kooyman
active on the Aruban market. With two stores offering a vast
assortment of building materials, hardware and home improvement
products. In 2004 Antil underwent great changes to become
Kooyman Aruba.
Kooyman Aruba has lowered the prices of the entire assortment,
which isn’t a temporary action. By introducing net prices
and "Fun Miles customers" get all sorts of additional benefits.
The assortment grew to a wider variety of products. For example
tiles, sanitary, tools, roofing material, gardening equipment
and many more. Kooyman Aruba also has an excellent glass service,
offering customers glass in all types and sizes, rapid and
friendly service, excellent prices and a 24 hour service.

Kooyman Bonaire B.V. consists of a store and a big yard with
building materials and is the largest and most complete hardware
store on the island. The store carries a wide assortment of
construction materials as well as home decoration, lawn and
garden, plumbing and tools. On a weekly basis hardware and building
materials are also shipped from Curaçao to Bonaire. Besides
the hardware and building materials, they also have a well-equipped
glass department with standard and custom windows and glass. |

On Curaçao - where the offices are located - Kooyman
B.V. has seven establishments. Three retail outlets selling
building materials, hardware and home improvement. The other
four are specialty stores specializing in electric installation
and lighting materials, gifts and garden products, custom made
glass and aluminum and kitchens. The glass and aluminum and
kitchens showroom are housed in our new Home Decor Center at Kooyman Mega Center.
With further growth in mind and better use of economies of
scale, Kooyman pursues centralizing several activities at
the Mega Center offices for the Bonaire and Aruba branches. Such activities include purchasing, marketing,
human resources, finance and logistics.
On Curaçao, Kooyman B.V. has the logistic department
which also controls Kooyman’s own distribution centre
Zeelandia. Zeelandia is responsible for a 100% product distribution
for both Curaçao and Bonaire. |

On May 18th 2006 Mr. Bas Kooijman held a press conference on
Sint Maarten to announce the opening of a new Kooyman establishment,
the first on the island of Sint Maarten.
On December 5th at 4.30 pm Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten
opened its doors to the general public. It was the first time
Kooyman went ‘windward’ (bovenwinden). This was
the next step in development of the company in the Caribbean
region.
With the new store Kooyman has created job opportunities
for approximately 45 people, mainly locals.
Kooyman Mega store Sint Maarten is situated in the former
Rams Food World (supermarket) building in Cay Hill.
Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten is unique in its building
materials, hardware and home improvement concept.
Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten also introduces the first
drive thru on Sint Maarten. This is the easiest and fastest
way to shop especially for contractors. This innovative and
award winning concept has proven very succesful at the Curacao
Mega Center.
The total Kooyman project is about 126.000 square feet. The
Drive Thru and the hardware store are both 26.000 square feet.
The rest of the property will be utilized for 80 to 100 parking
spaces, a connection to the main road and an area for
receiving and temporary stocking of supplies.
Customers can also save Fun Miles at Kooyman Sint Maarten.
Fun Miles is a new and fast growing loyalty program on the
island. Kooyman offers a special multiplying system to easily
and rapidly increase your points.
