Kooyman Mega Store
On May 18th 2006 Mr. Bas Kooijman held a press conference on Sint Maarten to announce the opening of a new Kooyman establishment, the first on the island of Sint Maarten.

On December 5th at 4.30 pm Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten opened its doors to the general public. It was the first time Kooyman went ‘windward’ (bovenwinden). This was the next step in development of the company in the Caribbean region.

With the new store Kooyman has created job opportunities for approximately 45 people, mainly locals.

Kooyman Mega store Sint Maarten is situated in the former Rams Food World (supermarket) building in Cay Hill.

Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten is unique in its building materials, hardware and home improvement concept.

Kooyman Mega Store Sint Maarten also introduces the first drive thru on Sint Maarten. This is the easiest and fastest way to shop especially for contractors. This innovative and award winning concept has proven very succesfull at the Curacao Mega Center.

The total Kooyman project is about 126.000 square feet. The Drive Thru and the hardware store are both 26.000 square feet. The rest of the property will be utilized for 80 to 100 parking spaces, a connection to the main road and an area for receiving and temporary stocking of supplies.

Customers can also save Fun Miles at Kooyman Sint Maarten. Fun Miles is a new and fast growing loyalty program on the island. Kooyman offers a special multiplying system to easily and rapidly increase your points.
