Keep your home well ventilated. Open windows and doors to allow the wind to blow through the house. This will bring fresh air and coolness into the house. Air conditioning has many advantages in our warm climate, but is not beneficial to the quality of indoor air. As windows and doors must remain closed, the air is not freshened.  You then repeatedly breathe in this air after it circulates around the house.

Try limiting the use of air conditioning as much as possible and clean the filters at least once a month. See also cool without air conditioning.

Take care of proper ventilation while cooking. Open a window, or use the cooker hood to prevent harmful gases and humid air from lingering in the house. Leave the window open for at least fifteen minutes after cooking.

Do you smoke? Or is there a smoker in your house? If so, have you considered using the veranda as a smoking corner? It won't be a problem to smoke outside in this wonderful climate. Open windows and doors when smoking indoors.

Bring plants into your home. Indoor plants purify the air and produce oxygen.

Avoid the use of chemical air fresheners. These sprays contain ingredients which are detrimental to your health. To dispel dominant smells, rather use baking soda or potpourri.
