Kooyman Mega Center grew from a dream into a vision and later into reality.
The magnitude that has been created with the realization of Kooyman Mega Center with its impressive Drive Thru area is merely the first half of what is to become of this home improvement plaza.
In 2003 Kooyman opened the doors of Gifts & Garden and Kooyman Techniek.
Clients can also have something to eat at the restaurant K'nuku or get some extra cash at the ATM.
In October 2004 Kooyman opened Kooyman Home Decor where clients are able to leave their childeren attended in the Kids Korner at restaurant K'nuku. A visit to Kooyman’s Mega Center is a fun filled, mind boggling and complete experience.
The Mega Store ground floor supports a modern Big-Box model store that offers building materials, hardware and home improvement and an award winning building materials Drive Thru. The Drive Thru has received the prestigious Innovation Prize for “The innovation with the most impact on the economy”. That’s why in Curaçao we say: Kooyman Drive Thru 'fásil i kompletu' (easy & complete)!
The first floor of the Mega Store houses Kooymans head office, containing the Purchasing, Logistics-, Human Resources-, Marketing-, Management Team-, Finance-, Projects- and IT departments that operate the Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Maarten branches.
Kooyman Santa Maria
In 1961 Kooyman Santa Maria was founded on September 26 at the Winston Churchillweg. The reason for this location was to bring Kooyman closer tot the citizens of Bandabou so that they would not have to travel all the way to Dominguito. It appeared to be a great success and as of today Kooyman Santa Maria offers a great variety of best quality products, such as building materials, hardware, fasteners and paint.
Kooyman Santa Rosa
After the development of Kooyman Santa Maria near Bandabou, the next best thing was to find a place from where they could reach the people of Bandariba. That establishment was founded and opened on 24 April 1964 on the Santa Rosaweg.
The location appeared to be unfavorable. The distance towards the head office (in that time in Dominguito) was too short and therefore customers thought it was easier to continue going to the Architectenweg (later named Kaya Kooyman). Management was having a hard time conquering the market of Bandariba. When this eventually happened, it was due to the flexibility of the management who knew how to anticipate on the special needs.
Santa Rosa turned out to be a very nice and cozy store where one can find an extended selection of building materials, hardware and home improvement.
