Awareness of one’s surroundings and taking responsibility are important to Kooyman.
Young people and nature have our particular attention. The company promotes sustainable entrepreneurship and gladly invests in projects for a cleaner environment. We are also particularly concerned with young people and education. We believe in providing the youth with opportunities to grow and become aware of their talents and environment. We set up projects through sponsorship and occasionally collaborate with professional organizations to provide opportunities for the development of the youth.
Kooyman is the proud sponsor of the young baseball player Kevin Kellie. Because of his perseverance and courage, Kevin is a role model for the youth. Kevin Kellie has a five years’ sports contract with Kooyman. As is customary with sponsoring, he wears the Kooyman logo during matches and public appearances. Kooyman’s success contributes to the success of Kevin Kellie and vice versa. To be considered for sponsoring, you can do the following:

Whether you’re an individual, a member of a residents’ association or sporting club or the chairman of a foundation, Kooyman wants to know what cause you’re devoted to. If your initiative falls into one of the two categories:

To make sure all required information is submitted, your e-mail should include the following information:
- short description of project/ goal
- objectives (what do you want to achieve?)
- where and when does the project take place ?
- who will be participating (possible other sponsors)?
- what do you want Kooyman to do for you? If you want Kooyman to sponsor materials, we ask you to put together a list of materials and send this along with the rest of the required information.
- How will Kooyman gain exposure and what do you require from us for this purpose?
Note: Kooyman mainly sponsors materials. We never sponsor in a financial manner (money/cheques/etc).
Evaluation of your request
After submitting your request, the evaluation will take approximately 2 weeks. You’ll be notified as soon as a decision is reached.
Request declined?
If your request for sponsorship is declined, you could submit a request for donation to the Human Resources Department of the main office in Curaçao.
Kooyman continuously makes donations without giving this publicity. This concerns non-recurrent donations. If the Human resources department decides to donate an amount, no further correspondence on this subject will be entered into.
