Reda Social stands for fund for Social Development and Economic Activities. The foundation is dedicated to reduce poverty on all the islands of the Netherlands Antilles through financing projects, that in one way or the other alleviate the critical socio-economic situation of marginalized people, promote the self-reliability and are aimed at both social and economic development.
Reda Sosial has been running twelve small-scale anti-poverty programs in six deprived neighborhoods on Curacao. These programs are aimed at improvement of the physical infrastructure (housing, roads etc) and specific supportive activities like literacy and budgeting courses and teaching parental skills.
Kooyman provides many of the materials used in the refurbishment of school buildings, community centers and homes. Kooyman is also involved in sponsoring various social projects Reda Social, such as the holiday of Kasita di Palu.
