Every household uses electrical appliances which consume energy. You can limit the quantity of energy by consciously buying your household equipment and appliances.

Can you also do without?
More and more electric appliances are being developed to make our life easier but the question is whether we truly need all these products. The laundry also dries without a dryer and it is just as easy to manually squeeze the oranges.  If you like to save on energy, just ask yourself: “do I truly need this appliance?”

How big should it be?
Full-size appliances consume more energy than smaller ones. You most likely do not need a full-size refrigerator when you live alone and a dishwasher for a household of four might be a bit overdone. If you consciously choose for a smaller version of your appliances, you can easily save money right away. Most definitely it will pay off in the long run.

Pay attention to energy label
Most white goods and light bulbs have an energy label which displays information on the energy efficiency of the appliance. The more expensive appliances are often more economical than the cheaper version. At first it is a considerable expense but in the long run you could save a lot of money because the appliances last much longer and they help you save on your electricity bill.
