    Ekoduro is made from different types of recycled plastics.
  2. What are the main uses of Ekoduro boards?
    Ekoduro boards can be used for various applications such as, furniture, interior design, and outdoor decking.
  3. How long does the Ekoduro board last?
    The Ekoduro boar is known for its long life.  It isn’t prone to rotting, decay, or termite damage. It also won’t fade or wear down from constant exposure to the sun and hot temperatures. 
  4. How do I handle Ekoduro boards? Do I need special equipment or tools to install ?
    Yes, some special tools and equiment is required in order to make working with the boards a smooth process and in order to give a clean finished look. 
    • Cutting: Use a miter saw with a fine-toothed blade to achieve clean and precise cuts. Ensure the saw blade is sharp to prevent chipping the material.
    • Nailing: Utilize a nail gun for fastening. The nail gun should be set to the appropriate pressure to avoid damaging the Ekoduro surface.
    • Drilling: Pre-drill holes to prevent the material from splitting. Use a countersink bit to allow screws to sit flush with the surface, giving a clean finish.
    • Cleaning: After assembly, wipe the Ekoduro surface with a cloth and water to remove any dust or debris, ensuring it looks polished and professional.
  5. Is Ekoduro board slippery?
    The Ekoduro board is designed in such a way, with the wood grain print, that it prevents slipperiness. The board is water repellent and hydrofoob, which makes it perfect to build a pier for example. Algae will take longer to grow on Ekoduro board than onto wood.
  6. What span length can i Use with the Ekoduro board?
    The recommended span length for this board is 30cm. 
  7. Does the Ekoduro board require maintenance?
    Ekoduro boards require minimal maintenance. Regularly clear off any debris like leaves, dirt, and dust. Give your deck or furniture a more thorough clean once a year using just a brush, hose, and mild cleaner. Don’t use power washers, as they can damage the boards. Unlike wooden decks, the Ekoduro board doesn’t require staining, waterproofing, or sealing.
  8. Can I paint the Ekoduro board?
    Yes this is possible. For the best result use an oil semi-gloss or high gloss paint. A base coat is not needed. We advise to first prep the surface by degreasing it and using Allclean. Make sure all soap residue is removed. This can be done using a wet cloth.
  9. What span length can I use with the Ekoduro board?

    • There a currently two boards:

      • 1X4 6ft
      • 1X6 6ft
  10. How much does the Ekoduro board expand and contract?
    The Ekoduro board does expand and contract as temperatures rise and fall, the maximum expansion or contraction is 1,1mm per meter per 10degrees celcuis.
  11. Can the Ekoduro board be sanded, or power washed?
    The board should never be sanded, sanding will change the appearance and quality of the material. 
    We also recommend not to use a power washer onto the board.
