Kooyman's Marketing Department is divided in the disciplines CRM, E-commerce and Marketing Communication. For the Marcom section we are looking for an experienced manager.

He/she is responsible for developing and executing the marketing communication strategy, drawing up and executing the annual marketing communication plans and marketing events, as well as allocating budgets to the different stores, assortment groups and (online and offline) channels and management of the store formula.
 
The Marketing Communication Manager (Marcom manager) will play a leading role in the ongoing transition towards full omnichannel communication.
 
Purpose of the position:
Planning, organizing, executing and evaluating the marketing communication activities, as well as managing, inspiring and coaching the communication team.
 
Position within the company:
  • Reports to the Senior Manager Purchase & Marketing;
  • Has a dotted line to the responsible manager for CRM, E-commerce;
  • Manages 7 communication professionals.
Profile:
Entrepreneurship, flexibility, good planning and organizational skills and customer focus are essential features of the Marcom manager. As manager you are strong in monitoring progress, coaching and inspiring your team. You are the driving force behind maintaining the right balance between offline and online marketing. You can communicate well both orally and in writing. You are quality- and result- oriented and have a 'can do' mentality.
 
Main result areas and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for corporate & marketing communication and events;
  • Drawing up communication plans and monitor the marketing budgets;
  • Managing and co-executing activities and monitoring deadlines;
  • Coaching, developing and motivating the team;
  • Obtain customer insights and translate these into opportunities, distinctive media concepts and campaigns.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor (+) degree in Marketing and/or Communication;
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the marketing field, preferably in retail;
  • Demonstrable experience as a coaching and motivating department manager;
  • Customer-oriented thinker, conceptually strong and open to innovation;
  • Structured and hands on worker;
  • Proven experience in both offline and online media;
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch;
  • Knowledge of Papiamento and /or Spanish is a plus, as well as knowledge of the (Dutch) Caribbean culture.
