The Account Manager is responsible for building and implementing strategies that drive customer acquisition and new business opportunities.

In addition, he/she must realize customer retention targets thru development of lasting business networks and by achieving customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, the Account Manager is responsible for managing sales, deliver excellent service quality and preserve contacts with potential contractors/developers. All these are required to attain the projected sales turnover, reach the companies’ growth objectives and accurate sales management which will result in high customer satisfaction.

Job description:

The Account Manager must realize customer retention targets through development of lasting business networks and by achieving customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the Account Manager is responsible for managing sales, delivering excellent service quality and preserving contacts with potential contractors/ developers. All these are required to attain the projected sales turnover, reach the companies’ growth objectives and accurate sales management which will result in high customer satisfaction.

Job requirements:

  • Service mindedness and a customer first attitude;
  • Exellent interpersonal skills;
  • Business school or Secondary Technical school supplemented with a commercial degree and/ or training;
  • Affinity with the retail brach;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in managing retail accounts;
  • Experience in building materials and hardware retail industry is a plus;
  • Strong presentation, sales and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch (written and verbal). French is a plus;
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving-, negotiation-, hands-on-, collaborative-, strategic- and result oriented skills;
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
