A tee is a plumbing fitting that allows you to connect three sections of PVC tubing or Piping. Two of the three connections have a slip fit connection, which are the two outside connections measuring 3/4 inch nominal size. The outlet or side connection of this tee has a 1/2 inch threaded female connection. The fitting is specifically used in order to connect three sections of schedule 40 PVC pipe. These fittings are great for water transportation applications such as irrigation and sprinkler systems. However they should never be used for gas or compressed air applications.
