Description
A pull spring, flexibel draw tape or fish tape is a long, strong spring that is used to pull a cable through a flexible pipe where this is not possible by hand. The pull spring is first pulled through the pipe and then a electrical cable is attached to it. The spring is then retracted again through the pipe, so that the cable is pulled by the pull spring and now runs through the pipe. A big advantage of using a tension spring is that it can be prevented in this way that the cable gets stuck or worse that it damages or breaks.
Due to their often thinner and smoother form, nylon pull springs are particularly suitable for pulling an extra electrical cable in already filled tubes. Another advantage of a nylon spring is that they are lighter and thinner, making them easier to pull.
