No need to sand nor paint.
Had to build a floating cabinet for a microwave. Soft wood yet sturdy. The only part I had to cover was the exposed cut. And that was easy done with iron on tape.

Interior of the cabinet
It's good because it's easier that you don't have to paint or cover within with laminate and the laminate stick very good on it with cement . The material works very quick, it's light and the price is very low.
