You actually always need a power strip to connect multiple electrical devices, because in general you will always be short of power points. There are power outlets with 2, 4, 6 or even 12 inputs. You can also opt for outlets for outdoor use, with USB connection, with or without switch or with extra (lightning) protection. Pay close attention if you need a power strip with protective ground (the Netherlands) or pin ground (USA).
